Do's and Don'ts

DO - Take these seriously while maintaining some humor

Remember... people don't say offensive things, YOU are offended and have full control over that.

DON'T - No Call No Show

This is "by appointment" only.  If you book an appointment and fail to call or show, the groomer loses all revenue for 2 hours. You will likely be asked to pay a "No show" fee and prepay for your next booking. If it becomes an issue, we will drop you as a client.

DON'T - Demand Appointment days and times

Do not demand specific days or times from your groomer. If you are an existing customer on a defined repeated schedule, you will always be given priority. If you ask a groomer for their availability, don't ask again for something other than the availability you were given. No you can't get in a week before the holidays if you are a new client or a "some-timer". These are reserved for clients that are long time consistent customers.

DON'T - Delay pickup

Once your groomer notifies you that your pup is ready, please come pick them up. We are not a daycare or boarding facility. We do not have the space or staff to keep pups for long periods of time. Unless you have coordinated a late pickup with your groomer, please pick up your pup within 1 hour of notification. Failure to do so will result in a boarding fee payable at the time of pickup.

DO - Be specific about your pups cut

Please be very specific about the type of cut you want for your pup. Bring in pictures, be clear about length, and face preferences. Our groomers are highly skilled and can accomodate most requests, however, we do not read minds!

DO - Tip your groomer

This is a demanding occupation. Groomer have to lift heavy animals, stand all day, get bit, get urinated and defecated on, clean anal glands, kicked, yelled at by customers.  I'll assume you don't pee or bite your hairstylist and consistently tip them ? That's what we thought!

DO - Brush your pup

Upset that we had to shave down your pup ? That's 100% your fault. Owning an animal is a responsibility. You are counted on to maintain the health and comfort of your pup. If you fail, we will make them comfy by shaving them down and starting over.

DON'T - Lie to your groomer

We already know you didn't brush your pup. No it didn't happen on the ride over or yesterday's playdate.

DO - Be honest about your pups Health and Behavior

We need to know if your pup is aggressive for the groomers, other pups, and the handling safety of your pup. We need to know about known health issues like Dementia, Heart issues, Hip issues, etc. We love all animals and want to provide the safest groom we can for your pup. Please be upfront and honest.

DO - Take responsibility for your Pups actions

Our groomers take a lot of bites and scratches as a part of their daily work (And they expect it). However, If a groomer is injured by your pup and requires medical treatment, you will be required to pay for that treatment.

DON'T - Get upset about a missed spot

Dogs don't sit still. Sometimes a tuft is missed. Our groomers are very skilled and talented. However, on occasion a hair or 2 is missed. Do a once or twice over when your pup is returned to you. If you see a spot that needs touched up, simply ask if your groomer can even it out. I promise the answer will always be something like "Absolutely" !

DON'T - Be shocked when prices go up

Yes, prices go up every year or 2. Just like everything in the world.... inflation happens and cost of goods and services rise. We don't care what your old groomer charges.
